Spontaneous Aortic Arch Thrombus in a Young Female Successfully Managed with Long Term Anticoagulation Alone.

Mural thrombus of a very large blood vessel like the aortic arch without predisposing atherosclerosis is a rare yet clinically significant event with the burgeoning debate on open surgical thrombectomy vs anticoagulation as the ideal treatment [1]. We report one such uncommon presentation and the successful use of anticoagulation alone in the management.
