A 67-year-old man was referred to our hospital for an abnormal shadow on a chest radiograph; the patient was a former smoker (44 pack-years) and had a history of pulmonary emphysema and fibrosis. The patient presented mild dyspnea on exertion but without fever, cough, or sputum.
