A Medical Conservative Is Better for Patients Especially With Informed Consent

I read with great interest of the commentary titled The Case for Being a Medical Conservative1 by Mandrola et al and the subsequent letter to the editor by Dr. Chandran.2 As a whole, I agree with Mandrola et al that physicians should approach new and yet-to-be-proven diagnostics and therapeutics as a medical conservative for 2 reasons.
